Well, the day has finally come. I wish I could say that this day was the day Sonic Arena 3 comes out, or the day you get The Final Chapter news, or even the day that Sonic Arena 2 gets an expansion. Sadly, none of those are true. Today, I must announce the end of Sonic Arena - as in, we won't be working on it anymore from this point forward. We've come to the decision that Sonic Arena had a good run, but it's time for it to end. Development on our projects has been slowly falling apart for a while, and at this rate, we can't deliver a game that you all would want to play, nor can we live up to the expectations and hype that's been set up. That being said, Sonic Arena 3 is officially cancelled from this point onwards, as is The Final Chapter. Some of you may have seen this coming, and rightfully so. Between the lack of information and constant delays, these projects' fates only grew more grim as the days passed. You may be wondering what will happen to Sonic Arena 2 and Sonic Arena Central. As you may have noticed, SA2 has been down for a few days - chances are, it will stay that way. As for SAC, it won't be taken down immediately, and instead will be left as it is to slowly fade away. Site maintenance will be minimal to none, and so will moderation. As I write this, I can't help but feel a twinge of disappointment that this is all going. There's many of us that have spent several years here, watching things change, people come and go. A lot of good times have happened, and some of bad ones to accompany them. But, life moves on, and we must continue to watch things change, if even for this one last time. The sun always sets, and the moon always falls - and so, as many things, Sonic Arena must end as well. What are the staff going to be doing after this? Well, I'm not going to idly sit by and waste my time. I've started my own project, a new Sonic fan game, and I've recruited Jonneh, Hazo, Runalot, and Ray the Ekoknight to help me with it. It will be Sonic: Transgressional Aspect, a sidescrolling fighting/RPG game. Ray It's a shame that we'll never get to see firsthand how sexy the jacket is, and disapointing to see that there won't be a legit Sonic MORPG for awhile. However at least for now we have the forums, and maybe some day, with a little help, maybe the new site will make a game. As Run said, we can always say Tangled Dimensions takes the place of TFC. A message from Jay aka Disco Ponies. So yes, it's over. After 4 or so year we have closed the doors. But don't fret. We had a good run didn't we! The fact is the two leaders (me and Blast Pinata) have moved on to new things. BP is now at University and I have moved my focus onto The Sonic Show, work and getting married. Yes there is Ken, but there is only so much he could do in a place that he had limited control over. I have enjoyed my time here, so so much, but I also realise when we need to be realistic. Sonic Arena 3 has been restarted and stopped so many times that it was never going to get anywhere near completion. Sonic Arena 2 had run it's course too. There some things to remember! 1) The Lost Chapters will still be ou there to enjoy and 2)SA2 is now free for anyone to use and play with. All it's assets are now free to use! If you want to read the history of the game and my thoughts, I do suggest buying our book. It really is the best suvenior or a great MMO. Love you guys! :D
